The June bank Holiday weekend in Cork is shaping up to be a great weekend for rowers, runners and family fun.
On 30th May the Ocean to City 2009 rowing race takes place. This grueling 15 mile rowing race starts in Crosshaven at the RCYC, out to Roches point and then back into Cork City via Cobh, Monkstown, Passage West and down the final stretch to the Clarion Hotel at Lapps Quay.
There will be plenty of vantage points along the route and a market at Lapps Quay with entertainment while watching the race to the finish line.
Rowers who enter before April 30th are entered into a draw for a case of wine from curiouswines.ie
Volunteer registration is still open if you want to get involved.
The Bord Gáis Energy Cork City Marathon and Team Relay takes place on Monday 1st June 2009 starting at 9am from Patricks Street.
If you taking part in both races let us know – we would love to feature your story.
