A Dragon on the Lee?

March 23, 2009 by irishmul

Saturday 21st saw a brave crew from Apple, EMC, Marks and Spencers and Musgraves take to the water for dragon boat training / racing. Onlookers watched with amazment as the 40ft boats were wheeled through Fitzgeralds Park before being launched on the Lee.

There was 1st some safety training, then the all important – “how to row a dragonboat”. Then onto the water for some races between the boats, after lunch then the entire team boarded a single Dragonboat to go up the river.

A great (and safe) afternoon was had by all, with a few sore bodies the next day. Thanks to all who turned up.
